Senior Design Project
Project Sponsor - ASML
August 2021 - May 2022
Completed thorough finite element analysis of a texture, anisotropic, molybdenum rod using EBSD, simulation, ultrasonic, and mechanical testing methods. Collaborated with the project sponsor through weekly meetings. Presented four formal presentations to the senior design class and completed a final poster presentation. Worked with four other materials engineering students to complete the thorough analysis.

Characterization of Composite Materials
August 2021 - December 2021
Worked with other materials engineering and aeronautical engineering students to test and characterize composite materials. Wrote weekly lab reports and presented weekly laboratory progress to the class. Created a compilation of lab reports and learnings.

Hip Brace Adaptation
November 2021 - Present
Worked with an occupational therapist to design a personalized hip brace adaptation for a child with severe internal hip rotation. Created multiple prototypes and designed an easy use adaptation to braces the child had used in the past.

Undergraduate Research
Laser Processing Method for Silver Coated Antimicrobial Surgical Mesh
August 2021-February 2022
I drove research on a novel laser processing method for silver coated antimicrobial surgical mesh to prevent leaching of the coating invitro. Through this I authored a paper (in review) on this new manufacturing method. I led mechanical testing of these substrates and was assisted in the biocompatibility testing.

Student Soybean Innovation Competition
Soyful Nails
October 2019-April 2020
With three other Purdue students, we worked to create a novel, soy-based product. The competition consists of a series of phases and checkpoints aimed to further develop the product into a marketable prototype. This includes determining the product's overall feasibility, completing a thorough market analysis, and developing a prototype from various raw materials.

EPICS - Assistive Technology Team
Writing Mouse
Spring 2019, Spring 2020
I led a team of engineers to create and design assistive writing devices for students with cerebral palsy. Our project partner, the Jackson Center for Conductive Education, helped us determine the specifications of this project to ensure that the devices completely satisfied the needs of the center, and worked well with their students. The writing mouse device is used with students that are unable to grip a writing utensil on their own. This device allows students to write on their own by applying and relieving pressure to the mouse which holds the writing utensil for them.

Undergraduate Research
Electrospun Cellulose Acetate Phthalate Membranes for Biomedical Applications
August 2020-December 2020
Throughout this semester, I assisted a graduate student in his research in electrospun and 3d-printed nanofibers for biomedical applications. These materials are aimed to create more accurate, adaptive, and better functioning wearable healthcare devices in an efficient and cost-effective way.
